WatchPast Lives – a touching and bittersweet film, nominated for the 2024 Academy Awards, that tells the story of two deeply connected childhood friends. It will make you reflect on your own experiences and stick with you long after you watch it. Available on Prime.

Read: The House of the Spirits – a novel much-loved by our team, written by Peruvian author and exquisite story-teller, Isabel Allende. The House of the Spirits is a family saga, rich with emotion and socio-political themes, intertwined with magical realism. For those wanting to be taken on a captivating journey, Allendes books are a delight to read.

Listen: Desert Island Discs – an iconic BBC podcast, first broadcast in 1941, which offers a treasure trove of touching conversations to take your mind off the news. Each episode, a well-known guest is invited to reflect on their life and discuss the music they would take if they were cast away to a desert island.

Watch: C'è ancora domani – translated to 'There’s Still Tomorrrow' is a 2023 black and white Italian film set in 1940 post-war Rome – a beautiful and dramatic tale of a women’s world.
