In preparation for Negroni Week (September 16 - 22), we share a native inspired version of a classic Italian cocktail - the Negroni.

Negroni Week runs from 16 - 22 September this year and will help raise funds for Slow Food - a global movement supporting projects that foster a more equitable and sustainable world of food for all.

NATIVE NEGRONI

Here's our recipe for a native twist on the classic Negroni featuring our botanical aperitivo, NATIVO, created with Autonomy Distillers. Bursting with sweet plum, peach and citrus aromatics, it's a perfect less-bitter substitute for Campari.

Ingredients

30ml NATIVO (sub for other native bitter Aperitivo or Campari)
30ml Sweet Vermouth
30ml Brookie's Dry Gin (any gin will do)
1 x Dash Grapefruit Bitters
Lilly Pilly Berries
Ice

 

Instructions

Pour Nativo, vermouth, gin and bitters in glass over ice. Garnish with Lilly Pilly berries or a slice of citrus.
