BYRON: THROUGH THE EYES OF A LOCAL

BYRON: THROUGH THE EYES OF A LOCAL

The Bondi Wash team are lucky enough to live and work remotely in some of the most beautiful destinations across Australia and Europe - one of those locations is the beautiful beachside town - Byron Bay.  We wanted to share our tips on enjoying Byron Bay through the eyes of a local.  If you're planning on a trip, here's how to make the most of your visit.

STAY

Byron Beach Abodes have a great selection of properties around town, they're all impeccably styled by founder Taliah Lowry.

If you're after a luxurious stay you can't go past Raes on Wategos as it's located on one of the most stunning beaches in Byron.

The Atlantic is a bright and airy space right in the heart of town - featuring a communal kitchen and outdoor pool.

You can also find a multitude of properties of all sizes on airbnb

EAT + DRINK

Enjoy fresh food sourced from local artisan producers at Harvest in Newrybar - celebrating the diversity of the regions local farmers.

An ambient restaurant in the heart of town - Bang Bang is asian fusion at its best.

Folk is a delicious cafe with a commitment to vegetarian & plant based eating.

SHOP

St Agni produces beautiful handmade leather footwear and women’s clothes that are simple and luxurious.

The new Habitat development in the Industrial Estate is a great place to shop with homeware store Habitat collective, Prae Store, Tigmi Trading and The Beach People.

Hope & May is a beautiful store combining luxe fashion, décor brands and interiors and lifestyle products.

Located in Byron Bay and Bangalow is Island Luxe - offering luxurious collections created by true artisans from all over the world.

Yoli & Otis is a womens and childrens brand with timeless style - handmade with luxurious silk and linen.

DO

You can't visit Byron without a trip to Wategos - think about taking in sunrise or sunset as its arguably one of the most beautiful beaches in the east.  Make sure to pack your running shoes and take a stroll through the boardwalk from the pass up to the lighthouse at Cape Byron.  You can enjoy an afternoon drink in town at Supernatural restaurant and bar or if you're a lover of gin you can take a tour out at Cape Byron Distillery.
